They love exploring pumpkins - inside and out, apples - even rotting ones, bird nests, clouds and more!
I place the items at the Science Center for the students to observe and explore and then they can work on the observation sheets individually or with a partner.
If it is an item that is not easily obtainable - such as a spider or bird egg - I then provide research materials such as library books, websites, etc.
And our favorite is to be able to go outside when the sky is full of clouds and take our Cloud Observation Sheets, our clipboards and our pencils!

Two sets of Observation Sheets to go along with your Fall and Spring Science lessons. Your students will explore the items and then record their observations on the printables included in this packet. Recording includes drawing, circling the correct word, fill-in-the-blank and writing sentences.
